They were born in Dublin except Seamus Heaney. The Irish language has the third oldest literature in the world. There are examples of Irish poetry that date from the 6th century.
Ireland is also popular for folk music and dance.
An Irish dance group Riverdance, which first performed in 1994, showed a few dances of Ireland. Old step dancing and the modern versions are popular all over the world.
